Astoria Design Hotel - Opatija

The Hotel Astoria was built in 1904. At that time the hotel, with the euphonius name "Villa Louise", was distinguished in Austrian-Mediterranean style. Now this hotel impress through its new design character and 51 affectionaly furnished rooms.

Opatija, an elegant tourist destination, is the centre of the Riviera with the longest tourism tradition in Croatia. Its advantageous location, flourishing vegetation and pleasant climate are the reasons for the beginning and boom of tourism at the end of the 19th century. Built at the turn of the 20 th century, Opatija has preserved a discreet harmony with nature until today. Its parks, illuminated seawall (the 12 km Lungomare), exquisite beaches and beautiful fountains are a picture frame for Opatija´s numerous villas and hotels.

By Car: Opatija can be easily reached by car, if following the direction of North-Western Croatia indications for the town of Rijeka and following the road further towards Istrian peninsula. It is located at 15 km from Rijeka. By public transport: The nearest trainstation is Rijeka - 15 km from the hotel. The nearest busstation is Opatija - 200 m from the hotel. An airport shuttle can be organized upon request and has to be reserved in advance.

The charming restaurant with its sunny terrace invites to enjoy the specialities from the local and international cuisine, whereas the comfortable atmosphere at the bar is an ideal spot for cocktail evenings.

The hotel is accessible for disabled people and wheel chairs. A special bathroom is provided in the room.
