Lumbarda is a beautiful Mediterranean settlement with archaeological traces that prove the presence of Greeks and Romans in ancient times on the island of Korcula. Remains of ancient Roman villas can be found amidst beautiful vineyards, where the well-known Grk wine is grown. Hotel Lumbarda lies 6 km to the east of the medieval town of Korcula (known as "Little Dubrovnik"), half-way between Dubrovnik and Split. In high season (July and August) there can be live music performances on a terrace near the hotel, but music is required to end by midnight. Please be aware that 15 and 16 August are festival days in Lumbarda and that celebrations may continue well into the early morning hours.
