The Fontana Resort - Jelsa

The Fontana Resort is located in the picturesque town of Jelsa on the Island of Hvar, which is one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world, voted by the Conde Naste Group's Traveller Magazine. The bungalow-style rooms are located in a pineforrest directly at the sea. The main building hosts the restaurant which offers a stunning view on the sunset. Spend a romantic evening at the generous terrace of your apartment, or take the short distance walk to the centre of Jelsa in order to enjoy a typical Dalmatian dinner in one of the "Konobas".

There are 2 tennis courts open during the high season, a fitness room and a pool bar. The outdoor pool area comprises a small pool for children and a bigger one for adults.Your children can play in the water and sun all day while you keep watch from the poolside bar.

The Island of Hvar is the fourth largest Adriatic Island. 68 km long and maximum 10,5 km wide this island counts 11200 inhabitants. With average of approximately 2750 sun shine hours per year this island is among the most sun tenacious travel destinations in the Adriatic. The main activity is agriculture which can be seen by the large lavender and rosemary fields and the extensive olive, lemon and orange plantations.

You can reach the island of Hvar by ferry from Split to Stari Grad. You can take your car on the ferry or take a speed boat directly to Jelsa. The nearest airport is in Split.

Every table in our dining room features a fabulous view of the sun soaked Adriatic Sea. Start the morning with our breakfast including freshly brewed coffee, a delicious croissant or a refreshing fruit juice. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner. Guests may dine indoors or al fresco in an authentic Mediterranean ambience. The cost for an extra meal is EUR 10 per person per night, additional to the room rate.
